Hamilton native Marie Manger Beamish first became interested in art through her father, who was a self taught artist of considerable talent.
Although Marie took many art courses over a period of years, she did not actively pursue her passion for art until after retiring from her chosen career in teaching.
Marie has taken courses through many different institutions including OCA, the Arts Program at Central Tech, The Haliburton School for the Arts, Springbank Arts Centre, Neilson Park Creative Centre and Belles Artes in San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico.
Marie is a member of Visual Arts Mississauga, The Etobicoke Art Group and the Humber Valley Art Group in Toronto.
Marie’s work is colourful, vibrant and strong. It shows bold decisiveness, regardless of subject.

Louise's pen and ink work is mostly of performing musicians, pictured at right is the legendary Nash the Slash, while performing at The Rivoli in Toronto.
Nash apparently did not really appreciate this "sketchy" rendition of himself - which was presented to him, framed, as a gift - preferring a rather Dali-esque painting done by another fan!

Feven Tewolde ![]()
As a young child, Feven was fascinated by visual arts. As a pre-teen, she participated and placed 7th at an international calendar art competition held in Japan. This early success led Feven to continue on with her studies in the arts.
Feven completed diploma courses in both fashion arts and computer graphics from the International Academy of Design and Technology. Following graduation, Feven spent several years working as a graphic designer.
A self-directed and determined young woman, Feven has, for the past three and a half years, owned and operated a framing and design shop at Rockwood Mall, in Mississauga.
Her ambition is designing anything and everything that is visual.
Feven’s life drawings and paintings are very strong and bold. Her fashion art is stunning.
Feven participated in an ALFEW show, with Louise and the Late Philip di Gregorio at Gate 403 in Toronto, August 2004.
We are pleased to show you some of Feven's work .
